Amira as an independent global non-profit organization representing members of the natural resources industry who seek to enhance, sustain and deliver transformational research and development, innovation and implementation for the benefit of society. Amira adds value to the ecosystem by improving the supply of resources to downstream industries, increasing investment in innovation in the natural resource sector, and enhancing social value to local communities and the ecosystems in which its members operate. In Santiago, on February 13, 2023, by and between Amira Global CEO, Jacqui Coombes and Corporación Alta Ley’s Executive President Mr. Fernando Javier Lucchini Arteche herby on behalf of the two organisations have entered into a memorandum of understanding to partner with each other.
Corporación Alta Ley is a private, non-profit entity, aimed at coordinating the existing capacities in public and private institutions and organizations of the mining industry, with the purpose of promoting and fostering the development of the sector, and improving competitiveness and sustainability of the mining business. The foregoing, through initiatives, programs and projects that allow solving the most relevant challenges of the mining ecosystem, and through the development of innovations, technology transfer and collaborative work, among the actors of the ecosystem.
The cooperation between Corporación Alta Ley and Amira is to promote collaboration around the challenges of the mining industry, developing spaces for collaboration between the parties in favour of R+D+i and technology-based innovation with impact for the mining industry, through the implementation of processes that allow the exchange and transfer of technological knowledge, the exchange of relevant information and the establishment of networks.
This cooperation will generate opportunities for promotion and incorporation of projects and initiatives of Corporación Alta Ley in the Amira network, exploring financing and promotion opportunities.
