Amira Global, in partnership with CODES, is proud to introduce the Laramide exXploration Initiative (LAXI). A collaborative, multi-country effort designed to transform our understanding of Laramide magmatism and its influence on some of the world’s most significant mineral systems.Spanning Canada, the United States, Mexico, Alaska, and the Caribbean, LAXI brings together researchers, industry leaders, and government partners to accelerate geological discovery beyond traditional boundaries. This initiative will connect regional expertise and datasets into one integrated exploration lens across the Laramide arc. 

Why This Work Matters 

The broader Laramide arc hosts some of the world’s most economically important mineral provinces, yet geological understanding and metallogenic datasets remain patchy,  often defined by jurisdiction. 

Through integrated research, shared datasets, and coordinated field and modelling programs, LAXI will support partners to: 

• Strengthen regional geodynamic and tectonic understanding 

• Improve predictive ore deposit models for Cu, Au, Ag systems 

• Identify new exploration opportunities at a continental scale 

• Build shared capability through training, workshops, and academic pathways 

• Encourage sustained international collaboration and knowledge exchange 

This is a practical, exploration-driven effort designed to translate regional science into clearer targeting frameworks.
