Amira Global is pleased to support the upcoming Wits Legacy Project Workshop, taking place in Johannesburg and online on 17–18 June 2026.
This important initiative aims to protect, preserve and re-evaluate over 140 years of geological and mineral exploration data from the Witwatersrand Goldfields — one of the world’s most significant mineral datasets.
The workshop will bring together industry, research, and academic stakeholders to discuss future study directions, preservation strategies, core cataloguing, and long-term curation of geological knowledge.

Program highlights include:
• 17 June – Group visit to the Oberholzer core yard
• 18 June – Workshop at Johannesburg Business School, Auckland Park
This is a hybrid event with free registration; however, seats are limited.
