Amira Global is pleased to announce a new, formal agreement with Lithodat to support the modernisation of its Data Metallogenica (DM) platform.

With more than 70,000 specimens representing thousands of global mineral deposits, Data Metallogenica (DM) is one of the world’s most significant geological collections and a uniquely valuable resource for the Geoscientific community. Through this collaboration, Lithodat will provide the digital infrastructure – based on its popular and intuitive LithoSurfer platform – to help transform how this extraordinary resource is managed, accessed and enriched for future generations.

By combining Amira’s stewardship of DM with Lithodat’s expertise in geoscientific data management, visualisation, and integration with LithoSurfer’s existing functionality, this partnership marks an important step toward enabling new opportunities for collaboration, research and discovery across the global Mineral Resource sector. This initiative also represents Phase 1 of Amira’s broader CollaborateOre vision: our long-term ambition to provide a trusted, connected platform for data, knowledge and expertise across the Minerals Industry value chain.
