Amira Global welcomes all those who are interested in exploration, geoscience and related subjects. We are committed to providing an environment that encourages the free expression and exchange of ideas, through open and respectful dialogues.

Amira Global endorses and expects a professional and respectful atmosphere that values a diversity of views and opinions. Please treat each other with courtesy, respect, and consideration. The ethos of the EMC is consideration, collegiality, and collaboration, free of inappropriate behaviour and harassment by or towards all participants.

The EMC is, in that sense, a ‘commerciality-free’ platform aimed at fostering scientific and cultural discussions, free of transactional pressures.

Attendees will not engage in dishonest misrepresentation, coercive manipulation, censorship, or other misconduct that alters the content, veracity, or meaning of talks and presentations. Attendees will not engage in harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any meeting participant. This includes, but is not limited to, physical or verbal abuse or threats of harm; stalking or uninvited physical contact and inappropriate use of sexual images in public spaces or in presentations; or disruption of presentations at oral or poster sessions or other events organized by Amira Global at the meeting venues, hotels, or field trips.

Solving Complex Challenges Requires Diversity of Perspective

Amira is committed to providing a safe, open, accessible, and respectful environment to our members and attendees of the 2025 Exploration Managers Conference (EMC2025).

What does DEI mean to Amira?

Diversity: Amira recognizes the importance of diversity and actively seeks to build a workforce that reflects the rich tapestry of humanity. This includes embracing diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, abilities, and other dimensions of identity. Amira believes that diversity fosters creativity, innovation, and a wider range of perspectives that contribute to the success of a community.

Equity: Amira strives to ensure equity by creating a level playing field for all participants. This involves acknowledging and addressing systemic barriers that may prevent certain individuals or groups from accessing opportunities, advancement, or resources.

Inclusion: Amira values inclusion as the active and intentional effort to create a sense of belonging for every individual within the organization. Inclusion means cultivating an environment where diverse perspectives are valued, respected, and heard. Amira promotes a culture of openness, collaboration, and mutual respect, where everyone feels comfortable bringing their authentic selves to our events and contributing to the goals of the community.

Why is DEI important to Amira, the EMC, and our members now and in the future?

Overall, DE&I is important to the mining industry because it fosters innovation, improves safety, attracts and retains talent, demonstrates social responsibility, and promotes sustainable development. By embracing diversity and inclusion, the mining industry can create a more equitable, resilient, and prosperous future for all stakeholders involved.
