Amira Global’s program P1372 Core Scanning Technology Evaluation aims to provide unbiased, data-backed, hype-free guidance on which core scanning tools are best for which purpose(s) and why. By running samples from a broad range of commodities and global jurisdictions through a comprehensive suite of core scanning technologies, and having the data analysed by leading, independent experts in their fields, P1372 aims to bring mining & exploration companies, core scanning service providers, academics and other industry representatives together to collectively understand the strengths & limitations of existing technology and how we can take it forward.
P1372 is in an early stage of development and will be looking to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including:
- Mining and related companies willing to contribute funding and/or case study samples
- Technology suppliers willing to undertake core scanning and supply outputs to the research team for evaluation of the technology (not the brand!)
- Research partners to contribute to evaluation, analysis & interpretation of data under the coordination of Project Lead James Shreeve (Digital Lithics)
- Other industry or advocacy groups interested in lending support or endorsement to the program (e.g. logistics, publicity)
