Amira’s purpose is to build collaborations to enhance the standing of the resources industry, assist in sustainable development, and deliver transformational science that will assist our Members.
Members are at the heart of our framework – their best interests are in everything we think, say, and do. We expect excellence in governance in all our internal and external activities and remain politically agnostic and independent.
We collaborate at a global level for impact. This involves developing alliances and aligned partnerships to create a smooth, effective, and efficient support network for the deployment of new technology, knowledge, data, and capability in the interest of industry impact.
At our core is transformative, pre-competitive research and development, innovation, and its implementation (R&D+I2). We are delivering knowledge, technology, and capability with the potential to transform our Members’ businesses and our industry.
For Members, we advocate leveraging investment in R&D+I2 leads to an increased return on investment. We do not support the fragmentation of research and development. We connect research and development and innovation across the globe to limit duplication or stranded knowledge, and ensure the most efficient pathways for knowledge, capability, and technology are available.
Long-term, we are developing the Amira Knowledge Platform. This will connect decision makers, mining professionals, agencies, and researchers to the most up-to-date aggregated and verified mining science. The knowledge platform will be curated and validated by teams of leading experts and editors.
